Transform Your Fitness Journey
Changing around your training and exercise regimen should be planned. It should not be randomized simply because you are getting “bored“ of working out.
Progression & Repetition
Like anything in life, we get better by doing things through repetition, you’re not going to improve your exercises or challenge the muscle unless you repeat exercises and take time to truly get better at them, not just in terms of weight and amounts, more so the way you do them.
You should be spending a bare minimum of 2 to 3 months on certain exercises, especially on compound movements and taking adequate time to improve at doing these. Simple ways you can change things without changing the exercise is going slower on the eccentric or concentric half of the motion or even adding an isometric hold at the bottom or top of the exercise to create extra tension that your body is not used to (preferably on your weak points of the exercise) This way when you return to doing the movement normally. You should notice progression!
